Zoë Simone-Yi is an award winning cinematographer working out of New York, Los Angeles, and Paris. She has shot numerous films, music videos, commercials and documentaries. Originally from Oakland, California she now likes to think of her base as the entire world.
As a cinematographer, she always strives to create the most visually arresting images as possible while maintaining an emotional foundation to all of her work.
Her clients include Nike, Zara, Adidas, Timberland, Ralph Lauren, Bose, Away, YSL and Equinox. She values close collaboration with the directors and artists she works with, having lensed projects for Derek Cianfrance, Andrew Thomas Huang, Warren Fu, Stacey Lee, Nadine Ijewere, Tom Gould, and Jackson Tisi, to name a few.
In 2021, Simone-Yi lensed “Driving Home 2 U” for Olivia Rodrigo’s album “Sour,” a feature length musical film which won the MTV award for best Music Documentary and was nominated for best Long Form Video.
When not working, you can probably find her mid-air on a plane to some far off destination, a camera still in hand.
